On Saturday, May 13, 2023, the Advanced Band and Guitar Ensemble traveled 3 and a half hours to Valencia, CA to participate in a ratings festival where the groups were given a rating based on their musical excellence. Both ensembles received the highest rating possible, a SUPERIOR rating, from the adjudicators.
Of the 16 groups that participated, only 3 groups received such a rating, and KCHS took home 2/3. If you happen to see any of these students on campus, a congratulations would certainly be in order; they have worked incredibly hard for this achievement.
