Workplace Violence Prevention Plan  (WVPP)

In accordance with California Labor Code 6401.9 (SB 553), SMCJUHSD has established guidelines to ensure a safe and secure work environment for all district employees. The WVPP outlines policies for preventing and addressing workplace violence, including different types of violence such as physical, verbal, and written threats. The plan includes procedures for reporting incidents, response protocols, hazard assessments, and training requirements for employees and supervisors. A Crisis Incident Response Team (CIRT) is responsible for evaluating threats, and the plan emphasizes non-retaliation for those who report incidents.
