Join the Conversation: The Future and Educational Priorities of Our Local High Schools

Thank you to the hundreds of residents who participated in our recent Community Educational Priorities Survey. Your feedback is important to us and that’s why we are expanding the community conversation around our local high schools and to hear from you!

Residents identified vocational job training programs as the top priority. Our kids need hands-on learning and training for good paying jobs after high school, including agriculture, public safety, medical, computer science, engineering, and information systems.

Other top community priorities included:

  • Retaining and attracting high-quality teachers
  • Removing hazardous materials like asbestos, mold and lead paint
  • Ensuring all schools are accessible for students with disabilities
  • Providing classrooms to help students prepare for careers in technology
  • Upgrading security cameras
  • Improving student safety
