Athletic Coaches
Information and Requirements for Coaching Staff
- Application is submitted to Human Resources
- Interview held by Site Administrator and Athletic Director
- Selection- Site Administrator/Athletic Director submit Personnel Action Form to Human Resources (Head coaches may NOT authorize hiring)
- Completion of Coach Paperwork
- New Coach onboarding through Frontline Education
- Current TB test (within the last 4 years)
- Fingerprint clearance - even if you have been fingerprinted at another school district, District policy requires that all teachers, staff, coaches, substitutes, and volunteers be printed for our District.
- All Coaches must be over the age of 21.
- All coaches MUST be completely certified before they can begin coaching. This includes:
- California Teaching Credential/Permit or Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC)
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Fundamentals of Coaching - CA Certification
- Concussion in Sports Training
- Heat Illness Prevention Training
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training
- Keenan Mandated Reporter: Child Abuse & Neglect
- Keenan: Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention - only needed if you are in the 2nd year of your CPR/ First Aid certification.
- Keenan: Cybersecurity Awareness
- Valid California driver's license and clear DMV report
- Social Security card
- All coaches must comply with the Athletic Code of Ethical Conduct
